Product Manager · Senior Product Designer

I own the whole product loop: research, design and monetization.

10+ years turning user frustrations into products people love and pay for. I run discovery end to end, design how the product works, own the metrics, and ship what the data backs.

Approach

Data behind every decision, and a team that ships it together.

I own the hard parts, research, experimentation and the numbers that decide a launch, and I lead the cross-functional team that builds them.

01

Customer journey & metrics

I map the customer journey, find where the funnel drops hardest, and own the metrics from there: instrumenting, pulling and analysing the data myself, catching false wins before anything ships, and making the rollout call.

02

Research I lead end to end

I initiate the research, recruit, run the in-depth interviews (Advanced JTBD), do the analysis and present it to stakeholders. I own the initiative and the execution, and I bring the whole team along with what the research finds.

03

Monetization tied to the business

Subscription, ad-supported and B2B. I design paywalls, pricing and funnels, connect them to what users actually pay for, and read the result straight off the revenue and retention metrics.

04

Cross-functional leadership

I work hand in hand with frontend, backend, content, user acquisition and stakeholders, and I've led internal projects across departments. I run retros and process sessions so everyone stays aligned, equal, and clear on who owns what.

Selected work

Two products, two ways to make money, and the research underneath.

At Womanly I was promoted from Product Designer to Product Manager, working across Tempt (subscription) and FreeWave (ad-supported). Internal figures are shown as relative change only.

Tempt · Subscription Research · Hypothesis · Design · Analysis · Rollout

An onboarding rebuilt from in-depth interviews, that flipped our positioning

  • Grew out of my research. The in-depth interviews reframed the product's whole positioning, adopted across the team and the CEO.
  • Redesigned value-first. New-user reading entry on Android went from ~29% to ~67%, and the whole funnel moved with it.
+10 to 15% at every step of the funnel: onboarding completion, activation, trial start and first payment. Rolled out.
Tempt · Subscription Design · Experiment · Analysis · Rollout

A content paywall I designed, tested and analysed

I rebuilt Tempt's content paywall end to end, with new mechanics and rewritten headlines. I designed the screens, set up the experiment, pulled and analysed the data myself, then owned the rollout decision and presented the rationale to the CEO.

+39% purchases from the book card over 30 days vs. control, statistically significant. Rolled out.
FreeWave · Ad-supported Research · Hypothesis · Analysis · Read-out

Removing ads without losing revenue, because retention was researched first

  • Research first. I ran a standalone project to find real (not vanity) predictors of retention, and narrowed them to first-day signals that predict whether a user is still around at month three, validated on both Tempt and FreeWave.
  • Hypothesis from that research. Give users their first book ad-free after 30%. Because the value landed before the ask, engagement and ad revenue rose together, not as a trade-off.
+21% progression to the second book. D1 / D7 / D30 retention and eCPM all up at once. Rolled out.

The research engine behind the wins

  • Advanced JTBD in-depth interviews I initiated and led end to end, from recruiting and interviewing to analysing every session and presenting to the team, with the most valuable paying users. The result: five validated jobs and a core job that reframed the product's whole positioning, adopted by the team and the CEO.
  • An annual plan I proposed and launched. It started selling right away, added revenue equal to ~15% of the existing base, lifted ARPPU, and became the highest-margin plan.
  • Readers renew about twice as often as non-readers, so "finish book one, start book two" became a north-star behavior.
  • Runs on an experiment infrastructure I built (20+ experiments) and heavy AI automation (Claude) that saves me 20+ hours a week.

About

Hi, I'm Kira 👋

I build products around human desire, emotion and habit, where psychology meets growth. As a product manager I create experiences people come back to, by understanding how they feel and what they're really after.

I believe the metrics move when a product matters emotionally. So I design retention that turns curiosity into routine, monetization that feels natural rather than forced, and I turn scattered signals into clear roadmap priorities.
